Howlite was named after the 19th Century mineralogist Henry How who first discovered it in Nova Scotia. Known to open and prepare the mind to receive energy and wisdom. A great stone to use to reduce anxiety, tensions, and stress. Howlite calms and soothes emotions, slows the overactive mind and helps one achieve deep restful sleep. Howlite is made up of hydrous calcium borate and often creates nodules that look a lot like cauliflower heads. Howlite brings mental awareness, both to current and past-life issues, and facilitates a calm communication of these issues. Meditating with Howlite can help one to connect with the higher realms, allowing for greater communication of higher frequencies into the higher chakras, to be assimilated by the unconscious mind, which helps one to slowly remove the veils blocking truth. Howlite is also known by the names White Buffalo, Sacred Buffalo, Lapis Howlite, White Turquoise, Silico Boro Calcite and Kaolinite.
Howlite is used in the following Violet & Poppy products:
Mojave Ghost Crystal Perfume, a dreamy desert alive with spirit. Delicate violet petals, amber, and musk infused with lapis lazuli, and howlite stones. Lapis lazuli enhances insight, awareness, and truth. Awakens the third eye chakra to help you go deeper into your mediations. Howlite inspires attunement, prepares the mind to receive wisdom and insight. Teaches patience and brings a wave of calm.
